| Marketing to today's senior is no easy task... If you are trying to market a retirement community, a funeral home or other product specifically tailored for the older adult and encountering difficulty, be warned. There are many "experts" out there who think they know "just what you need." But how many of them can you trust? More importantly - HOW MANY OF THEM WILL WIND UP COSTING YOU MORE MONEY THAN THEY MAKE YOU? Companies I know of have listened to these "experts" and doubled their budget for advertising. Or they decided that their friendly and reliable sales staff should start using the cheesy and sleazy tricks to hoodwink the customer. Their results? Happy consultants and a LOT of happy advertising account executives BUT: the sales staff is demoralized and abandoning them. The lead base has been harassed and alienated. And, in most cases: Their business has not grown one bit. In fact, they're behind from where they started. Fewer profits, more overhead...doesn't seem like much of a success plan to me...does it to you? Ponder the magnitude of this: how happy would you be if your advisor decided that you needed spend an extra $150,000 a year or so, and in two years you're out $300,000 plus whatever fees you paid these people (surely in the tens of thousands) and you had nothing to show for it. Now I ask you: did these "experts" really know what they are talking about? You can't afford to let anyone tell you that success lies in forcing your staff to be high-pressure "trick 'em and stick 'em" sales hacks. Word will spread in the community. Any short term gain will be more than erased by long-lasting damage to your reputation. It simply isn't good business. Desperation has very strong smell...almost as strong as dishonesty. The decisions that you make during the tough times determine if the outcome is success...or more difficulty. You need to create your brand or reinforce your existing brand. You need to make sure that your efforts are harmonized and consistent. And, you want to see results reflected in the Bottom Line! I can help you achieve your business goals.
